The most awaited Pakistani cinema film “The Legend of Maula Jatt” will finally arrive on the big screens this Eid ul Fitr.
The film is a collaboration between Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari created in association with AAA Motion Pictures, under Encyclomedia and Lashari films.
For a while now the film has been hotly anticipated and was due to be released last year. Despite several legal hurdles that the film faced in the past, it will finally see the light of day this May. Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus is one of Pakistani cinema’s most ambitious projects starring Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick and Hamza Ali Abbasi in lead roles.
The film also stars out eminent Pakistani entertainment industry names such as Ali Azmat, Shafqat Cheema, and Nayyer Ejaz.
The unparalleled movie buzz is not only because of its stellar cast but also because the film aims to offer a modern take on Maula Jatt and Noori Nath’s classic screen characters. Called to be the most expensive production in the country to date, the film is set to become not just a production marvel in Pakistani cinema but will carry the fighting style peculiar to the east, into the international arena of cinematic grandeur.

Ammara Hikmat, the executive producer behind the film, in the midst of various speculations had already dropped a hint on social media about the near future release for the film. Now that the film is in the final stages of post-production, all such reports are stopped by this announcement.
“It was a really ambitious project, so of course we came up with a lot of challenges and it took the film to release longer than we expected. The film, however, is in the final stages of post-production and will be on Eid in cinemas.” Hikmat said.
The film’s screenplay is by Bilal Lashari, dialogs by Maula Jatt’s Legendary writer in 1979, Nasir Adeeb, and Bilal Lashari and Nasir Adeeb penned the story.
The much-awaited film will release this Eid ul Fitr in cinemas.
