The Walking Dead S10

As season 10 of The Walking Dead is soon to be on-air and the AMC drama’s San Diego Comic-Con trailer has grabbed the attention of viewers and the show released two first-look images of new cast member Thora Birch on Thursday.

As announced at Comic-Con, the American Beauty actress has been cast as Gamma, who is not only a member of new rivals, the Whisperers but also going to dominate them as a leader. She is believed to have all the aspects related to both the clan’s wild and animal instinct and as their furious leader. In other words, she’s the polar opposite of Alpha’s daughter Lydia, who in Season 9 fell in love with Carol’s poor son, Henry and later was taken under Daryl Dixon’s clan.

Birch won’t be the only procurement to give her appearance in Season 10’s premiere on Sunday, Oct. 6, Kevin Carroll, late of The Leftovers, will also play Virgil, a survivor who is, in a post-apocalyptic world, eager to get united with his family, like everyone else.

The Walking Dead could experience the Whisperer War in the coming season, as AMC released a plot synopsis for the upcoming episodes, published on AMC.com, the season 10’s plot description reveals that the survivors are “preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable”.

“It is now spring, a few months after the end of season 9 when our group of survivors dared to cross into Whisperer territory during the harsh winter.

The collected communities are still dealing with the effects of Alpha’s horrific display of power, reluctantly respecting the new borderlines being imposed on them, all while organizing themselves into a militia-style fighting force preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable.

But the Whisperers is a threat unlike any they have ever faced. Backed by a massive horde of the dead, the Whisperers are seemingly a fight the survivors cannot win.

The question of what to do and the fear it breeds will infect the communities and give rise to paranoia, propaganda, secret agendas, and infighting that will test them as individuals and as a society.” Synopsis adds.
