The veteran action director of Bollywood, Veeru Devgan, actor Ajay Devgn’s father, died at the age of 85 on Monday. According to the informed sources, Veeru Devgan breathed his last at a hospital due to age-related issues and cardiac arrest.

Actor Anil Kapoor shared so many of Veeruji’s fond memories in his tribute. He said that generosity was the most admirable quality in Veeruji. Anil noted how his funeral was attended by all the young fighters that Veeruji had introduced to the industry. Senior Devgan, he said, had helped many in Mumbai to earn a living and buy houses.

Amitabh Bachchan, who worked in several films with Devgan, wrote a special post on his blog, recalling their first meeting and how he was shocked by his sudden demise.
