There are apps to help manage your money and banking, and apps that will look up coupons, movie times, restaurants, and music. Applications that download feeds of news reports from different websites are also especially popular. There are also apps that combine social networking such as Facebook and Twitter into one streamlined application.
Many smart phones now also come equipped with some type of GPS or map coordinate system, which allows the user to get directions easily at the click of a button and can replace the need for a regular hand held or car windshield mounted GPS.
All smart phones have the capability of text messaging, which many people find a more convenient and cheaper way to communicate than talking and using minutes.
In either case, although a smart phone may not be a priority for certain lifestyles, it can certainly make communicating on a day to day basis fun and informative.
