The father of 9 months old Nashwa, Qiaser Ali has finally signed a settlement contract with the administration of Darul Sehat Hospital. However, the out of court settlement is yet to be authorized by the concerned court.
The agreement demands the establishment of a pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) in Nashwa’s name at the hospital, a Nashwa foundation which the hospital will get registered and will donate Rs.5,000,000 to it annually. All the demands have been accepted by the hospital.
Earlier, father of the deceased soul demanded to seal the hospital, the arrest of the administration and inquiry on the hospital’s license. Unfortunately, due to no actions, the family has forgiven everyone for the sake of Allah Almighty.
Nashwa passed away on 22 April after battling her unsound condition, which was caused by the wrong administered injection by DUSH staff. Qaiser added that the funds collected under the foundation would be used for the treatment of similar cases. The fund will also provide two annual scholarships to students.
