PM directs for easy payment options for old aged pensioners

In a meeting between PM Imran Khan and Chairman EOBI (Employees Old Age Benefit Institute) Azhar Hameed, the PM focused on issues being faced by old aged pensioners. He directed the institute to provide premium facilities to the pensioners by ensuring payment of pension through banks or other cash transfer options. Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis and HR Development, Zulfi Bukhari and other senior officials of the also attended the meeting.

The PM was notified on the working of the EOBI and steps being taken to upgrade its working and facilities acquainted for payment of pension to old-aged retired people. Later, the premier was briefed regarding the digitized registration process of the institute to avoid any fraud.

The EOBI likewise displayed a proposition to the PM for development of economic houses under EOBI and Pakistan Real Estate Investment and Management Company. Under this arrangement, 5,500 houses would be constructed estimating three and five marlas.
