Through a major breakthrough, a police officer who worked for an Indian agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has been arrested by intelligence agencies and local police.
The intel-based operation was conducted following a warning from the Gulistan-e-Johar region of Karachi in which ASI Shehzad Parvez Faisal was detained. Throughout the raid, several mobile phones, non-registered SIM cards, and two hand grenades were confiscated, among other belongings.
The police officer had supported terror attacks in the metropolis according to reports. He is also advised to be an aggressive target killer involved in multiple main people being killed.
Development-familiar sources reported he was also in touch with MQM-London and obtained terror funding from the Mehmood Siddiqui party.
He has been transferred to a designated location for further investigation.
The development came just weeks after a RAW-MQM London connection was discovered by Karachi police in the port city, which included a Karachi University official.
