Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are teaming up again for a brand new song. On June 18, Shawn unveiled in a captionless tweet the first teaser of the upcoming collaboration of the duo.
The 19-second clip also featuring Shawn Mendes singing and Camila dressed in bartending gear shows the “If I Can’t Have You” and “Havana” singers getting up close as they seem to lean in for a kiss.
Camila, in turn, posted another teaser to her Twitter after Shawn’s post (also without a caption) that shows a little bit more. Camila’s clip, although set to the exact same melody, is slightly longer, clocking in at 23 seconds, and shows the pair in character. By the teaser, one can infer that Shawn is a client of a diner where Camila works and they finally meet after her shift has ended.
Not much else has been disclosed about the upcoming collaboration, but it looks like we’re going to get quite the story, especially judging by previous videos from the pair, but coming so unexpectedly, the news is puzzling and exciting for fans.
And while intentionally the duo is being cryptic, everyone has a hunch. After their duet “I Know What You Did Last Summer” was released in 2015, fans have been anticipating another collaboration from the two friends for quite a while now. They hinted at “IKWYDLS part 2” back in December 2018 with a simple B&W image of the two workings together in the studio and, with this fresh teaser, it sure feels like we could eventually get it.
The upcoming song entitled “Señorita” will be out today.
