As per the notification issued today, the Federal Government has officially announced 4 holidays on account of Eid-ul-Fitr 2019. Four days public holidays will be acclaimed from 4th to 7th June (Tuesday to Friday). Whereas, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on 5 June, Wednesday.
However, a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in Karachi on the evening of 4 June, Monday (29 Ramadan-ul-Mubarak). The meeting, headed by the Chairman of the committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman would declare the sightedness of the crescent for Shawwal-ul-Mukarram (1440 AH).
The final verdict will be announced by the Chairman of the committee after mutual consensus with other zonal committees.
