US lifts the ban on Huawei BUT temporarily

The US lifts the ban on Huawei BUT temporarily but this surely isn’t good news for Huawei brand and its users.

After a spectacular war, Department of Commerce allowed Huawei to continue the services for a while. A temporary license was given to Huawei to maintain its current devices in the market. This 90 days license is effective until August 19, 2019.

This will allow the company to work with U.S. corporations (Google, Intel, Qualcomm, and a few others) to support current customers. The limited license does not mean that all is well between Huawei and the U.S. government. While Huawei can still release security fixes to its electronics, the company will be unable to release new hardware that relies on technology sold or licensed by U.S. companies such as Android.
