Avengers: Endgame has made box office history by making $1.2bn on the opening weekend.
The Disney blockbuster has become the fastest movie to reach the $1bn mark, in just five days run.
Global ticket sales on opening day were $1.2bn (929m Euros). The movie broke the record of previous best of $640m made by the previous Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War
In the US alone, the movie made a record collection of $350m
The movie released earlier than North America in China and made a collection of $330.5m
“Though Endgame is far from an end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these first 22 films constitute a sprawling achievement, and this weekend’s monumental success is a testament to the world they’ve envisioned, the talent involved, and their collective passion, matched by the irrepressible enthusiasm of fans around the world,” Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn said in a statement.
The Endgame received positive reviews from the critics and fans, the IMDB rating of the movie is 9.4
