Astak released its 5 inch EZ Reader Pocket PRO, holding an amazing display having rich features. Astak reader can make your e-book reading crazy like the Sony Reader, Kindle and the Kobo, etc.
The EZ Reader Pocket PRO comes in six different colors that include:
• Alphine White
• Onyx Black
• Blue
• Classic Maroon
• Powder Pink and
• Metallic Purple
The Astak EZ Reader comes with an SD Card for expanding memory unlike the Sony Reader, which does not have any external storage card. It also has 8 gray scales as compared to Sony, with 5 fonts sizes whereas Sony Reader has 3. It carries a removable battery on its back unlike other e-book readers, which is quite a unique feature of it.
EZ Reader comes with a cool looking leather case to protect it. Its hardware is going to give you a good feeling. Apart from a nice soft touch, the EZ Reader gives on its outer casing; moreover, holds a nice rubberized cover that feels good in your hand.
The resolution of the EZ Reader is same as of other devices. Amazon Kindle offers a little kinder view where the EZ reader gives you a tighter format.
We have two forward and back buttons on the left side of the EZ Reader. Down below, there are 5 number keys and 5 other keys used for various purposes like the catalog, search, zoom, left and right buttons. There is also a “Back” and “Menu” button down there, and a rocker switch for going to different pages and pushing it in, serving as a selector action function. On its bottom, it has a 3.5 mm headset jack with a standard USB, SD slot and a power button on the top.
We can award it good points for its nice e-ink display. You read very clearly with the EZ reader, but it has menus points too. It is a bit small with smaller font. Another demerit is that it doesn’t let you listen to its reading function without a headset jacket.
The EZ Reader is still an outstanding device and a competitive one. It is very similar to Sony Reader with a little less price. So the crux of the Astak EZ Reader Pocket PRO review is, the EZ Reader is an e-book competitor, which can give the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader a run for their money.
