British Airways to reopen flight operations with Pakistan

The British Airways is all set to reopen flight operations with Pakistan after a pause of over a decade. The operations were suspended 11 years ago, back in 2008, after the horrendous blast on Marriot Hotel Islamabad.

The maiden flight is expected on 2 June, with three scheduled flights every week. British Airways (BA) will be using Boeing 787 Dreamline aircraft, with three classes available, World Traveller (long-haul economy), World Traveller Plus (long-haul premium economy) and Club World (long-haul business class).

The flight will be catering the customers with halal food options and a pre-order facility for meals will also be available. Urdu speaking British-Pakistani crew members are likely to be working on the flights for a more comfortable environment.

A return ticket between Islamabad and London would cost, starting from 448 pounds in World Traveller, 709 pounds in World Traveller Plus, and 1499 pounds in Club World.

Special attention has been given to the inner and outer security of the Islamabad International Airport by the law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of the passengers, ahead of the resumption of BA flights.
