People keep telling you that there’s free traffic in social media networking, you might be thinking, where ? And at what cost ? If I invest ten minutes a day each in Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon and Delicious, where will my returns be ?
It’s a very simple formula, the dividends of which begin to pay off within just a few days. That formula is, build social influence, then use it as currency!
Build Free User Engagement blogs, resources using Stumbleupon
First, join StumbleUpon. Then, scan the buzz page for 2 topics, one you want to be known for, and a related area. If you want to be considered an expert on making money online (and have the chops to back it up!), you might pick business or internet marketing.
Second, see if you can find people who are in both groups
and befriend them. Start with about 10 of either, and 10 of
both. Make sure they are active daily. That’s important.
Third, spend 2 weeks stumbling their favorites, and reviewing
the pages, as well as the Stumblers, that you like the best.
Do about 10 Stumbles a day, with 2 reviews each session.
Fourth, about once a week, attempt to interact with people
you have been following. Just introduce yourself. Don’t
mention your site. After each week, drop the people who
aren’t responding.
Fifth and final step, use the share function to let your
new connections know that you’d like their opinion on a post
pick something with pictures and/or audio/video, a topic you
have worked really hard on that has a comment or two.
Don’t ask for a vote!
Ask them to take a look at it and that any vote/review would be
appreciated but not expected.
Go back to step one (skipping the part about joining of course)
and repeat your journey. Set a timer, do this for ten minutes
a day and you’re well on your way to building an honest power
profile.

But even this method can bring you a hundred or more visitors a day. A single person with a power profile on StumbleUpon can
drive 100 visitors in a day. Some can bring 20k visitors over a week once they’ve told their friends.
