The government of Punjab has reportedly planned to open restaurants and theaters after Eid-ul – Fitr at a time when coronavirus cases reached the country’s 50,000-mark.
As per details, the principle approval came during the provincial cabinet meeting from chief minister Usman Buzdar, sources said.

In this regard, Buzdar had asked the Department of Information and Culture to devise standard operating procedures (SOPs). Sources said the decision was made to support artists in the face of the artists’ growing financial crisis.
As of now, the country has recorded 51,653 cases of COVID-19 with 1,067 deaths caused by viruses. Pakistan has seen its worst day in the last 24 hours since coronavirus emerged in the region. There were 2,603 new positive cases reported from four provinces, the federal capital, and the AJK and GB regions during the said period.
