The country’s IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) export remittances have risen to $901,486 million over the first nine months (July-March) of the fiscal year 2019-20 at a growth rate of 23.94 percent compared to $727,353 million over the same period last year.
According to the performance report of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), an organization under IT Ministry, IT & IT-enabled services (ITes) export remittances comprising computer services and call center services rose to $901,486 million over the first nine months of FY 2019-20 (July-March) compared to $727,353 million over the same period in FY 2018-19.
While IT & IT-enabled services (ITes) export remittances, including telecommunications, computer and information services, rose to $1.054 billion over the first nine months of FY 2019-20 (July-March) at a growth rate of 19.91 percent, compared to $878.8 million over the same period in FY 2018-19.
The IT and Telecommunication Ministry has directed the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) management to formulate a detailed marketing plan and to prepare a strategy to accelerate the growth of the IT sector in Pakistan.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, under the leadership of the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications, is making special efforts to promote IT exports and to encourage IT companies.
