Vivo’s iQOO lineup is made up of some of the 2020s most affordable flagship devices and the new addition to the series might be just the best flagship killer of the year. The iQOO Neo 3 is fitted with a 144Hz camera, Snapdragon 865, UFS 3.1, and super-fast charging for just $380.
Let’s look at the details.
Design and Display
The handset has a 6.57′′ FHD+ LCD screen on the top right corner, with razor-thin bezels and a front punch-hole display. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz (the highest in traditional smartphones), HDR10 support and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The fingerprint sensor is placed over the power button on the foot.
In a rectangular module, the back has a triple camera setup and the iQOO Neo branding at the bottom.
Internals and Storage
The internals of the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC flagship combined with 256 GB UFS 3.1 and many different RAM options including 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB. The processor on it is an octa-core unit with 2.84GHz.
On the software side the phone boots Vivo’s custom iQOO UI with tons of customizations on top of Android 10.
Cameras
A 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro lens for close-up images are included in the camera lenses at the rear. The camera is fitted with photography in the night mode, slow-motion images, and OIS.
The front camera is a 16MP lens with its own set of features including AI beauty mode, intelligent face recognition, short videos, and more.
Battery and Pricing
A whopping 4,500 mAh battery is available which probably won’t be enough to power the 144Hz monitor for a full day. The battery is fitted with 44W fast charging that should be capable of charging the unit within an hour from 0 to 100 percent.
The Vivo iQOO Neo 3 will be available in color options Black and Blue, starting at $380 for the base memory configuration (6GB/128 GB) but going up to $466 for the 12 GB model.
