Sindh Food Authority bans sale of poor-quality ketchup, unpacked tea

KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has decided to impose a ban on sale of poor-quality ketchup and unpacked tea in the province on Tuesday.

According to a notification issued by SFA, two months were given to the traders of unpacked tea to wrap-up their business in the province.  No one will be allowed to sale loose tea in Sindh after December 18, read the statement.

The Sindh Food Authority has also enforced a ban on the sale of food items on printed papers or newspapers.

The food quality watchdog has also said that no one will be allowed to sell meat products without a halal certification.

Ban has also been imposed on the sale of food items which have Monosodium Glutamate or MSG in them.
