Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan upon his visit to the Saudi Kingdom as he left for the official visit of the United States.
The Saudi crown prince offered his private jet for the premier’s visit to the United States to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Saudi crown prince refrained Imran Khan from traveling on a commercial flight to the United States and urged him to travel through his private jet as he could not let his guest depart from the Kingdom on a commercial plane.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Adviser on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari also accompanied the prime minister.
During his two days visit to Saudi Arabia, PM Khan held meetings with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, and other leaders.
Few sources reported that the prime minister left for New York from Madina Munawara by Saudi Airlines chartered plane.
On September 27, the prime minister will address the United Nations General Assembly.
During the premier’s address in the UNGA, it has been planned to gather political and social activists outside the UN headquarters in New York for a peaceful protest against human rights violation in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan’s foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the special assistant to the prime minister for overseas Pakistanis, Zulfikar Bukhari, special assistant to the prime minister political affairs, Naeemul Haque, commerce minister, Abdul Razak Dawood and the advisor to the prime minister on finance, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh are accompanying PM Khan on US trip.
