Hamad Obaid Alzaabi – Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced the big news of establishing Asia’s biggest Visa Centre in Karachi during his recent visit to Karachi.
The biggest facility will be operational from the first week of September 2019, and another facility will also be functional from October 2019 in Islamabad. The announcement was made when the honorable guest visited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Official statement from KCCI said that, “Everything will be here, including medical insurance, check-ups, and contracts, etc, to facilitate visa issuance from the visa center in Karachi which will be the biggest visa center of Asia while the entire team for this Visa Centre at Khayaban-e-Shamsheer in Karachi will come from the UAE,”.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Businessmen Group & Former President KCCI Siraj Kassam Teli, President KCCI Junaid Esmail Makda, Senior Vice President KCCI Khurram Shahzad, Vice President KCCI Asif Sheikh Javaid, and KCCI Managing Committee members. Deputy Consul General of UAE Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi also attended the meeting with the Ambassador.
UAE officials expressed their gratitude to KCCI for their hospitality and mentioned that despite visiting various cities in Pakistan, Karachi stands out with its diverse culture, atmosphere, and different social life. The Ambassador said in a statement that, “We are trying to find new areas of cooperation where we could work together and also examining the challenging areas so that these could be addressed by the authorities in the UAE. Insha Allah, we will put our hands together to move forward in the future,”. He added that a Silver Investment Visa facility for 5 years and Golden Investment Visa facility for 10 years will also be issued to potential investors falling under specified criterion.
Kassam Teli also appreciated the support and cooperation from UAE and requested the guests to initiate a collaborated system with KCCI for easy visa procedures to credible businessmen and industrialists with a personal guarantee backed by KCCI.
