Tony Rodham, Hillary Clinton’s youngest brother, died on Friday night. The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee tweeted about him, calling him “kind” and “generous.”
“He was kind, generous, & a wonderful husband to Megan & father to Zach, Simon, & Fiona. We’ll miss him very much,” said Clinton in a tweet.
“It’s hard to find words, my mind is flooded with memories of him today,” Clinton wrote in a post on Saturday morning. “When he walked into a room he’d light it up with laughter.”
Born in 1954, Rodham was the youngest of three kids, with his older siblings Clinton, 71, and his brother Hugh Rodham.
He was married to Megan Madden, whom he married after his first wife, Nicole Boxer, divorced in 2005. Rodham had three children: Zachary Boxer Rodham, Simon Rodham, and Fiona Rodham.
According to the New York Times, Rodham had several jobs, including stints as a jail guard and private detective. Rodham became a consultant and deal broker after Bill Clinton became president, the outlet reports.
The cause of his death is still unknown.
