PIA is all set to re-continue its flight operations to Beijing and Tokyo from 31 May 2019 (today). Two flights, PK852 and PK853 will be operating each week on Monday and Friday, to benefit the customers in the respective capitals.
Earlier in February, Tokyo operations were suspended due to restrictions on the carriage of passengers and cargo by Japanese Civil Aviation Authority. However, the restrictions were relaxed after the PIA’s CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik intervened and resolved the matter.
The aviation sector got another good news prior this month when British Airways resumed its flight operation with Pakistan after almost a decade. It was suspended 11 years ago, following the Marriott Hotel attack in 2008.
