Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM’s) Mohsin Dawar has been arrested from North Waziristan on Thursday, against the charges of leading an assault on Army check post earlier this week. He was reported to be al large after his fellow member Ali Wazir was arrested following the incident.
He was presented in the Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC), where Judge Babar Ali Khan granted eight-day remand. Further, the police have been ordered to re-produce him on 7 June. After the judgment, he was moved to Peshawar.

According to resources, Dawar presented himself for arrest before the agencies as per the advice of Jirga, to face the charges against him in the court of law. Before the arrest, he shared a video message claiming that he is innocent and he cannot put people through more trouble for him.
Both the MNAs are now in custody after the unfortunate attack on an army check post. Under the rules of procedure, the concerned magistrate or executive authority is liable to inform the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding matters pertaining to arrest or detention of a member of the house in a criminal offense.
