The bomb was planted in a 6 feet long pipeline, at Colombo International Airport. Air force scrutinized the Airport for any further threats. Passengers were requested to arrive 4 hours early and unaccompanied. Most of the travel facilities are at red alert in Sri Lanka.

Seven blasts on Easter Sunday caused 207 death with 500 plus causalities. The eighth blast happened in a house during a security operation. Police have arrested 13 people in connection with the attacks. The event is still not claimed by any extremist group or rebel party.
