Karachi Ranks as the Sixth Cheapest City in the World

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit Survey, Karachi ranks as the 6th cheapest city in the World.

A survey was conducted and the prices were compared with more than 160 products and services in 133 cities.

The products and services include food, drinks, home supplies, utility and house bills etc.

The results revealed that Karachi is the sixth cheapest city in the world leaving New Delhi, India on number eight and Caracas, Venezuela on the first spot while Damascus, Syria and Tashkent, Uzbekistan at number 2 and 3 respectively among the top ten cheapest cities.

On the contrary, Paris, France secured the first spot as the world’s most expensive city followed by Hong Kong, China, and Singapore as all three shared the same position according to the survey.

The report implies western standards in terms of price and economic conditions as per the BBC.

Well, Karachi and Nigerian city Lagos both ranked sixth among the top ten cheapest cities in the world.
