Galaxy Note 9: Is It Worth Noting?

The Note series has always been the best Galaxy device in the lineup. Every Note fixed all the disabilities of the S series, bringing in new design elements and lots of features including a bigger screen.

Taking a step back, we had the Note Edge, which had a curved edge screen for better multitasking purposes. This display was molded into a curved edged on both sides offering an almost bezel-less display, which Samsung took further with later S and Note lineups. Samsung latest take on the Edge display is making it completely curved on both sides, and this design change will start with the Galaxy S9.

But what we should be waiting for and be talking about is the Note 9, which will take this design strategy even further.

Galaxy Note 9: Is It Worth Noting?

We have a lot of leaks on the Galaxy Note 9 which is supposedly going to be announced August 2018. As said before the display will be completely curved with the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 2K resolution for start. The display will also incorporate the much rumored in-display fingerprint, making it much easier to use compared to the Note 8.

Above the display will be a 12 Megapixel camera for selfies. It will be a wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture and OIS for better night time shots. For the main camera, we will get a dual camera setup both 16 Megapixels, one will be at 28mm and the other 50mm at f/1.7 aperture, and features include OIS and phase detection autofocus. Moving on we get the latest SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855 and an unconfirmed Exynos octa-core for the International version.

The other great news is the bump in RAM. We now get a 6GB 64 variant and 8GB, 128, 256GB variants as well. Rumor has it that Samsung’s latest achievement in the tech sector for 512GB storage controllers might see the light on the Galaxy Note 9.
