Lenovo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant, is currently selling a majority number of smartphones in the budget segment. Since last few months, Lenovo has been giving a strong competition to the other mobile phone manufacturing companies. With the rival companies introducing the budget smartphones with thelatest technology, at comparatively lower prices, Lenovo has decided to launch a smartphone with thelatest tech at lowest possible cost named Lenovo K6 16GB. Lenovo fans will be super excited to see the new handset with the latest features.
General
The expected launch date of Lenovo K6 16GB is March 20, 2017. The device will be arriving with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and it is not confirmed if the device will get the Android 7 update. The device has two SIM card slots. Both the slots accommodate GSM-type SIM cards. The device will support all three network types 4G (all Indian bands), 3G and 2G. The device is enabled with fingerprint sensor facility. With the cost-effective price, the company has decided not to provide quick charge facility.
Design and Display
The build material of casing and back is metal made. There are three colour variants available on this device namely Gold, White, and Gray. The screen on this device is humongous 5 inch and supports FHD resolution which is 1080 x 1920 pixels. Pixel density on this device is 441ppi due to which the display is very sharp and shows crispier quality images. It is an IPS LCD type display with capacitive touch support and multi-touch up to 10 points. The display on this device is rated very good by comparing with other rival devices in the same segment.
Performance and Storage
The device is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 chipset. It is basically an octa-core processor with Cortex A53 quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz and another Cortex A53 quad-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz. The architecture of the chipset is 64bit for faster data manipulation and enhanced theperformance of the device. High-endAndroid games can be played in low or medium graphic resolution lag free because it has got Adreno 505 GPU. The device is backed by 2GB RAM which ensures faster multi-tasking performance. The device has two cameras primary and secondary camera. The primary camera which is also referred as rear camera is a13MP shooter. The rear camera has anauto-focuscamera, but it is not enabled with OIS. The rear camera can capture bright snaps in low-light using its dual LED flash. The snaps are captured in 4128 x 3096 pixels. There are two options in the settings panel which are exposure compensation and ISO control. The device can capture more enhanced images in the High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode as compared to continuous shooting mode. The camera has several features like face detection, auto focus, digital zoom and automatic flash. Videos can be shot through the rear camera in full HD resolution at 30fps. The front camera is 8MP and doesn’t have any flash. The front camera shoots perfect selfie in the light. This device has a 3000mAh battery which is theLi-Polymer type. It is non-removable type battery. The battery can last long until 2 or 2 and a half days easily.
Network and Connectivity
The device supports all types of network namely 4G (Indian bands), 3G and 2G. Considering the increasing usage and benefits of Voice over LTE mode of communication the company should enable VoLTE on this device. For present scenario, Indian 4G users will be extremely happy to buy LTE enabled device at such lower cost. Lenovo also provides Vibe UI skin on the Android marshmallow OS which enhances the device performances. The device supports Wi-Fi for better wireless internet connection facility. The supported Wi-Fi standards are 802.11 b/g/n. It can also share data on one device with another as it can work as a mobile hotspot. The data sharing can be provided by encrypting the hotspot with WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK type security. There is a Bluetooth v4.1 installed on the device for sharing files with Bluetooth supported any other device. One can also use the device for navigation by enabling the inbuilt GPS option. Charging and wired file sharing can be done using microUSB 2.0 port.
The device has a Radio FM pre-installed for FM lovers. There is a 3.5mm audio jack on the device for better sound quality and effect while on hands-free mode. It also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back side of the device for hassle free unlocking.

Lenovo K6 16GB price in India is expected to be 7k. The device is worth a go for the mentioned specs.
