Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is unhappy about the meals he receives at Kot Lakhpat Jail, who happens to be a meat enthusiast.
Reports say that the former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif doesn’t like the food he receives according to the prison manual.
Sources said Nawaz Sharif had complained about the tasteless food to his private doctor, saying he was tired of eating vegetarian meals.
The doctors of Nawaz Sharif are of the opinion that the prison atmosphere is not appropriate for him at all. Since he suffers from kidney problems, lack of water in his body can prove to be deadly for him. Poor food in jail can worsen his health further.
The government of Punjab had chosen to raise the facility for home-made food given to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The prison administration had permitted Nawaz Sharif’s family to bring food for him. The Punjab government, however, had chosen to raise this facility of getting food from home.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan said he has decided to remove the facilities of television and air conditioner from the prison cells of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.
He said after going back to Pakistan, he would remove the facilities of television and AC from their jail cells.
