Imran Khan is 2nd among the 5 most-searched leaders attending UNGA

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has appeared to be the most popular leader, data released by Google proves it.

According to Google Trends, Pakistani Prime minister Imran Khan was among the five most-searched international leaders attending the 74th session of United Nations General Assembly.

PM Imran Khan, a cricketer turned politician who led Pakistan to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup before joining politics, was the second most searched UNGA leader on Google, surpassing Narendra Modi by three places. Only US President Donald Trump is ranked above Imran Khan.

Imran Khan even surpassed, the newly elected British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who holds third place in the list.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who has come into limelight after being highly criticized by environmental & wildlife activists and climate experts for not doing enough to protect the Amazon rainforest from immense destruction caused by wildfires, is occupying fourth place.

India’s Narendra Modi was the fifth most-searched among the international leaders who are attending the UNGA.

According to Khan U.S. sanctions against Iran are affecting neighboring Pakistan, stating “The last thing the Muslim World needs is another conflict. The Trump administration is moving towards that direction.” Imran Khan has prioritized close ties with China. The ongoing tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi are one of the biggest challenges, he is facing right now.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to address the UN General Assembly session on September 27.
