The Game Changer gets Lala back into Limelight

Shahid Afridi, widely known as Lala, has always been part of the mainstream news either his cricketing or verbal skills.

The Game Changer, Afridi’s autobiography, co-written by Wajahat Saeed Khan, has got him back into the news as the all-rounder revealed the never shared details.

He narrated his glorious journey from a young lad to a cricket sensation. The former captain also discussed his relations and experiences with his fellow teammates.

Commenting on the World Cup-winning skipper turned Prime Minister Imran Khan, he appreciated his vision for the country and efforts for bringing peace and harmony with India. However, he insisted to do more to resolve the Kashmir Issue. He showed his confidence in the integrity of the PM but raised the question on his team selection.

The all-rounder also discussed the history between him and Waqar Younis. He regarded the former pacer as a mediocre captain and a terrible coach.

Moving towards the former batsman, Javed Miandad, Afridi wrote that Miandad never liked his batting style and held a very strong opinion against him since the beginning. Afridi also accused Miandad of not providing any net session before his first test match.

Shahid Afridi revealed that the famous nickname “Boom Boom” was actually given to him by the current Indian Chief Coach, Ravi Shastri.

The evergreen cricketer also disclosed his real age, as he was born in 1975.
