Pakistan Cricket Team will leave on 23rd April for Series against England

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket team will leave for England to play the series against the home side before the mega event, World Cup 2019. Pakistani team will play 11 ODIs (Official and Practice Matches Included) before it’s first big match against West Indies in Trent Bridge on 31st May 2019.

PCB Spokesperson on Tuesday said “Pak team will play England in a series of practice and international matches, before entering the World Cup 2019 against the West Indies on May 31 at Trent Bridge,”

“As per the ICC regulations, all participating sides have to submit their 15-player World Cup squads by 31 April but can make changes until 22 May without needing the ICC’s approval. Post 23 May, all player replacements will have to be approved by the Event Technical Committee”, he said.

According to PCB, the playing 11 for England Tour and ICC World Cup will be announced after internal discussion between team’s head coach Mickey Arthur and the selection panel and fitness tests of the players.

“The Pakistan coach will now consult the selection committee and discuss the schedule of the player fitness tests, training camp and squad announcement for the ICC Cricket World Cup,” the PCB said.

“As per the ICC regulations, all participating sides have to submit their 15-player World Cup squads by 30 April but can make changes until 22 May without needing the ICC’s approval. Post 23 May, all player replacements will have to be approved by the Event Technical Committee,” it added.
