Govt decides to spend PKR 100b on the development of Tribal Areas

It has been reported on Monday that Prime Minister Imran Khan is planning to spend Rs 100 billion annually for the development of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

Initially, a three-week process is added to consult and facilitate the formulation of the 10-year development plan.

Prime Minister wants to provide opportunities to the people of FATA and has already restored the mobile internet service in Bajaur.

He is further planning to provide jobs to 8.000 youths and install new solar panels in 300 mosques and grid stations of Mohmand and Bajaur.

Last year, Imran Khan became the first prime minister to address public issues in tribal areas after Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

The Prime Minister has further promised the people that the Government will introduce new Sehat Insaf card in all the tribal areas for medical treatment. He ordered that every family will have access to Rs. 720,000 per annum for the same purpose.
