Avengers: Endgame will soon be back in cinemas with extras added

Avengers: Endgame finally gets an official post-credit scene with this weekend’s limited-time re-release in cinemas.

Co-president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige informed Screen Rant that a new version of Endgame will be released in cinemas with a few extra scenes, not in the original. Feige said if people remain seated and watch the film, there’s going to be a deleted scene after the credits, a little tribute, and some surprises.

The description indicates that the additional materials of Endgame will not resemble the quick post-credit scenes that the Marvel fans are used to. Feige did not provide any further information, but told Screen Rant that the release would roll into cinemas “next weekend”. It’s a week before Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out, implying that the additional features of Endgame are likely to tie into the next Peter Parker installment. Marvel had earlier attached the trailer for Far From Home to Endgame a few weeks after Endgame was released.

Endgame marked the end of a Marvel Cinematic Universe 22-movie journey over the past 11 years. The movie brought in more than $2.7 billion global — and is about $45 million away from beating Avatar as the top-grossing movie of all time. This could also be the reason it is being sent back to cinemas by Disney and Marvel Studios.
