Since the announcement, Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha starrer ‘Dream Girl’ has been the talk of the town. The team left no stone unturned to promote the film on different platforms.
It certainly looks that their efforts are bearing fruits. The film hit the theaters on Friday and is already getting a lot of recognition and love from the audience.
Now, according to BoxOfficeIndia.com report, the film has raked in Rs 9.50 crore nett range on its first day. With this, ‘Dream Girl’ has become the biggest opening day scorer film for an Ayushmann Khurrana.
The report further stated that the collections are best in Delhi/NCR region as compared to Mumbai and Gujarat. The first day collections are 40% better than ‘Chhichhore’ which was released last Friday.
In the film, Ayushmann will be seen playing the character of ‘Pooja’ who listens to everyone’s problem and soothes the listeners who call her. Nushrat will be seen as Ayushmann’s love interest. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Bannerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Nidhi Bisht, Raj Bhansali among others.
The film is written and helmed by Raaj Shandilya who will be making his directorial debut and backed by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Aashish Singh.
