Rahma Ali, the daughter of deceased veteran actor Abid Ali, who passed away on Thursday, has claimed that her stepmother, Rabia Naureen, has taken away her father’s body, and the family is being prevented from seeing him for the last time.
In a video posted on social media, the late actor’s daughter put out a tearful appeal for help. “I really want to tell the world that Rabia Naureen, my father’s second wife has left the hospital with his body,” she said in a video released late Thursday.
While crying her heart out, the actor and singer said that her sister, Iman Ali, mother and aunt were still in the hospital and they don’t know where to go, adding that they don’t even know where Rabia Noreen lives in the city.
Rahma further told that Rabia Naureen had even told her aunt that she doesn’t want to see her husband’s daughters and first wife mourn at her residence.
She claimed that Rabia Naureen had not even disclosed the details of their father’s burial with them.
“She has not told us about the janaza. I don’t know what to do,” Rahma said.
“It’s like she’s taking him away all over again,” she added.
The most senior actor of Pakistan’s showbiz industry passed away in Karachi on Thursday evening. He was admitted to Liaquat National Hospital after suffering a serious liver disease.
