Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, accused by his wife Fatema Sohail of domestic abuse, was found guilty by a lower court in Lahore for threatening his wife.
However, according to the local media report, the actor was found innocent in breach of trust and demanding money from his wife. Both the parties presented their side of the story during the court hearing on Wednesday. The court has also ordered them to come up with their final argument with evidence in the next hearing.
Fatema is appalled by the turn of events as she took to Instagram and voiced her concern. “Police has found him guilty of criminal intimidation however wrongfully expunged section 406 related to criminal breach of trust,” she wrote.
She also put forward a demand for Mohsin’s immediate arrest. “Police so hand in gloves with him that the moment he withdrew his bail the investigating officer in court was supposed to arrest him immediately for being found guilty under section 506 however he went Scot free with a smile on his face. And now he is disseminating this false propaganda on media that he’s innocent. I demand IG Punjab to transfer my investigation to another honest officer and immediately arrest Mohsin Abbas for being found guilty for criminal intimidation as he’s not even on bail anymore,” she added.
Mohsin, on the other hand, has posted videos with his legal counsel, Adnan Tariq, on Instagram where he claimed that “the incidents the accuser has narrated are false and nothing but the lies. The investigation was high profile and it was conducted by the SSP, ADIG monitored it themselves. No money trail was found.”
