Karachi is under threat of severe flash flooding. After a little cloud burst in North Nazimabad, there are chances of further CLOUD BURST activities in different areas.

What is Cloud Burst?

A cloudburst is an extreme amount of precipitation in a very short period of time, sometimes followed by hail and thunder, which is capable of creating flash flood conditions.

Cloudbursts occur because the warm air current from the ground or below the clouds rushes up and carries the falling raindrops up with it. The rain terminates to fall down as a steady shower. This causes an excessive condensation in the clouds as new drops form and old drops are pushed back into it by the updraft.
