Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of the historic elections when the feudal minded ruling elite lost their reign of over 30 years, and a fresh leadership with a face of internationally admired celebrity ‘Imran Khan’ took the charge of the country by the vote of masses.

After a star-studded cricketing career and pulling off an exemplary hospital project as a tribute to his mother, Imran Khan started his political career long ago. With his consistency and attitude to never give up, he was given an opportunity by the people of Pakistan to turn his dreams into reality on 25 July 2018. Despite having a mixed sentiment on the performance of the government so far by the general public, the government under the leadership of Khan has delivered fruitful results in some sectors and international trust and potential foreign investment have also increased significantly.

The opposition, whose major top-line leadership is behind the bars over corruption cases, has decided to observe the day as ‘Black Day’ to record their protest against the government. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal announced the formal decision in a press conference and a similar announcement was made by Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a separate press conference. He also requested the public to support the move and make it successful and added that the whole country will chant “selected PM namanzoor”.

On the other side, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced to celebrate the date as “Thanksgiving Day”. All the central and district bodies of the party have been directed to celebrate the day of their victory to thank public which showed their trust in PTI. The celebrations will likely begin as soon as Prime Minister Imran will safely land back in the country after making a successful diplomatic tour of the United States.

So, what are you wearing today, Black or Colors?
