Elections Commission of Pakistan has started sharing latest positioning of the historic first-ever polls in the newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to ECP, ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Individual candidates have been ruling the scoreboards. Latest positioning of the political parties is as follows:
PTI – 5 Seats
Individuals – 5 seats
JUI-F – 3 seats
ANP – 1 seat
JI – 1 seat

Apart from the above 16 seats, 5 seats are reserved which includes four for women and 1 for minorities.
According to the rules of ECP, winning individual candidates must join any political party within 3 days of the issuance of the winning notification. Failing to do so, will mark their status as an Individual MPA. Winners of the elections will be further liable to declare their assets.
The historic bill of the said merger was passed by unanimous decision of the National Assembly of Pakistan on 13 May 2019. All major parties showed their support for the bill and 229 votes in favor, while just 1 vote was cast against the bill.
