The Billboard 200 chart ranks the bestselling music albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in the equivalent album units. Units are comprised of track equivalent albums, traditional album sales and streaming equivalent albums. The new May 25-dated chart, where Confessions debuts at No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard’s websites on May 21.
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind by Logic debuts at #1 with 80,000 sales (27,000 in pure sales) and becoming Logic’s third #1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart.
WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? By Billie Eilish maintains its position at #2 with 68,000 sales (831,000 total units sold), the album itself peaked at #1. It has now spent six weeks on top 2. Meanwhile, Khalid also remains at #3 with 46,000 sales this week with his album titled “Free Spirit” (497,000 total units sold).
Sammy Hagar and The Circle’s album Space Between debuts at #4 with 40,000 (38,000 in pure sales). Ariana Grande comes next with thank u, next at #5 selling 36,000 units this week (1,217,000 total units). *peak: #1 for 2 weeks*. Thank u, Next has now spent three months in the Billboard 200’s top 5 albums.
Greatest Hits I II & III: The Platinum Collection by famous rock band Queen gets a re-peak at #6 by moving 23 positions up, selling 32,000 units this week. Here Comes the Cowboy by Mac DeMarco debuts at #10 with 27,000 units. (20,000 in pure sales).
Interestingly, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are the only female artists to appear on the top 10 of the Billboard 200 Chart this week.
